Proxy Server Settings
If Pupil Asset is running slow in your school and you’re on a managed network, it may be worth adding Pupil Asset to your proxy exception list.
A proxy server is a box that sits on your network between your computer and router. It is used for caching, saving and distributing web pages, that are frequently used.
You will need to contact whoever looks after your network from your Head@ email address and ask them to set up direct access to Pupil Asset.
Below is an example email that can be copied and sent:
To: Ict.norfolk.gov.uk
Subject: Proxy Exception for Pupil Asset
From: [email protected]
Hello
I would like to request direct access to *.pupilasset.com from the entire IP range in my school.

Once you have heard back that exception has been set up you will need to add *.pupilasset.com to you exception list. You can add this in manually to each machine that accesses Pupil Asset or get your system administrator to roll it out globally.
To Add Manually
On a Windows machine:
Navigate to Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Advanced.
Type *.pupilasset.com in the Exceptions box – new entries should be separated by a semicolon (;).
Click OK.
On a Mac:
Navigate to System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies.
Type *.pupilasset.com in the Bypass Proxy box – new entries should be separated with a comma.
Click OK.
