Primary Assessment is changing – again!
* Updates to Teacher Assessment Frameworks
* Changes to reporting for pupils with SEN – P Scales becoming non-statutory
Here at Pupil Asset, we always aim to provide the most up to date resources and therefore we would like to reassure our schools that we are fully prepared for the forthcoming changes to Primary Assessment.
In the meantime, rest assured that we are on top of things and enjoy the latest summer reads from the DfE:
Teacher assessment frameworks at the end of key stage 1 (2018/19)
Teacher assessment frameworks at the end of key stage 2 (2018/19)
Coming Soon…New 2018/19 National Curriculum Frameworks
Over the summer holidays, we will be creating new National Curriculum Frameworks in accordance with the most up to date DfE guidance for use next academic year.
Like last year, when we introduced the new Writing 2018 frameworks, schools wishing to migrate current assessments to the newer frameworks will again be able to do so and we will provide detailed explanations of what the changes are to support this.
Currently using Pupil Asset NC Bands (or a variation of)?
Don’t worry – we have you covered too.
Whilst large numbers of Pupil Asset schools are moving over to a Point in Time Assessment model (find out more here), there will still be schools wishing to continue using the Linear approach to assessment. Those schools who no longer wish to use P Scales in their Result Type will be able to choose to use the same model, but without them.
As always, if you would like to discuss your current model and/or explore alternative options, please contact our Support Team on 01603 631436 and arrange for a consultation.
