Following a successful public consultation, between January and April 2019, Ofsted have now published their new inspection framework for use from September 2019.
The framework sets out how Ofsted will inspect state schools, further education and skills providers, non-association independent schools and registered early years settings in England. Find out how Pupil Asset can support you in each of the four areas of inspection.
This week, we look at Behaviour and Attitudes.
“Inspectors will make a judgement on behaviour and attitudes by evaluating the extent to which:
– The provider has high expectations for learners’ behaviour and conduct…
– Leaders, teachers and learners create an environment where bullying, peer-on-peer abuse or discrimination are not tolerated…”
Pupil Asset has a built in module for recording, managing and analysing student behaviour – both positive and negative. Powerful reporting tools allow school leaders to analyse attendance data in a range of ways – quickly view students with persistent absence; compare attendance of key groups (e.g. Pupil Premium/SEN); view patterns in absence with the ‘Days of the Week’ overview; view patterns of minutes late by day and across individual lessons. Attendance thresholds are also fully customisable so individual schools can set their own expectations for what constitutes as good and poor attendance. Pupil Asset MIS users can access a range of ready made email and letter templates for communicating concerns about absence with parent/carers – these auto-populate with live, and therefore up to date and accurate, attendance data.
